Want to join me and 45,000 friends?

By Phil Verghis on August 22, 2012

I was invited to speak at Dreamforce ’12 this year. I spent some time with the organizers, and suggested three options that would be particularly relevant. Well, I’ll be anchoring and presenting at three sessions.

September 19, 1:30 PM.
Service Cloud: Moving Beyond Standard Metrics with Pitney Bowes and Cisco.

September 20, 12:00 PM.
Service Cloud: Voice of the Customer – All It Takes Is 120 Seconds, with Deutsche Bank.

September 20, 1:30 PM.
Service Cloud: Streaming to Swarming – Case Study with Red Hat & Ultimate Software.

Curse of Knowledge

By Phil Verghis on August 9, 2012

One of the most common reasons why even smart people don’t seem to want to follow apparently obvious ideas, is the ‘curse of knowledge’. Once you know something, you really can’t really unlearn it. The more obvious it is, the harder it is to put yourself in the context of someone for whom it is not obvious, and to explain it to them.

For example – tying your shoelaces.Oh, if you want to know the ‘right’ way to tie your shoelaces, check out the Ted Talk…
